Labor still in front: poll (Australia)
LABOR would have defeated the Government if a federal election had been held in early June although the gap was narrowing, the latest Morgan Poll has found.
<snip>

In early June, support for Labor fell two percentage points to 43.5 per cent, while coalition support was up 2.5 percentage points to 42.5 per cent.

On a two-party preferred basis, support for Labor was down two percentage points to 53 per cent while coalition support was 47 per cent.

In early June, on the important question of who the electorate thinks will win the next election, the coalition leads Labor by six percentage points, with the gap widening.
