Two GI's Killed In South Korea Plane Crash

"SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - A U.S. military transport plane crashed Tuesday south of Seoul, the U.S. military said. It said it had no word on whether there were casualties, but a South Korean news agency said the two Americans on board died.

The C-12 Huron, a small turboprop plane, went down at 2:43 p.m. seven miles southwest of Camp Humphreys, a U.S. base, the military said in a statement. "

2. I worked with a SSG who just got deployed to S. Korea

She was a lab tech. I hope to God she is safe. It's hell working with these soldiers and getting to know them so well just to see them shipped off to dangerous places.

3. a tragic reminder

- tragic event. Heartfelt sympathy for the families.

- also a reminder that as opposed to the situation in Iraq that was Heralded in the news as we loudly brought in troops to the area, that this is a very different script in NK. Deployment is happening just very, very quietly.
