Bush Seeks to Broaden Fight Against Spread of WMD

KRAKOW, Poland (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) said Tuesday an international drive to halt the spread of weapons of mass destruction should be expanded to target those funding the deadly trade.

In a videotaped address Bush said his Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI), launched a year ago in this southern Polish city, had already boosted security by stopping shipments of dangerous weapons and their components.

"We are determined to keep the world's most dangerous weapons out of the world's most dangerous hands," Bush told delegates from 60 countries at the PSI meeting.

I'm so glad GWB is on the job, keeping the world's most dangerous weapons out of the world's most dangerous hands - by keeping them busy operating the world's biggest projector, I suppose.

seriously - go back to the IWR vote time... remember how the administration HID that they had learned of serious escalation in North Korea where there was a KNOWN threat per development and proliferation of Nukes? They sat on this info (even while be criticized in their Iraq case that they were ignoring NKor) until after the vote?

I remembered the problem/events - but didn't know all of the details - the following is an excellent run down of the history of the Nuke challenge presented by NKorea and the failures of bushco to deal with it. I consider it a must read article. And it certainly fits with this surface only push by bush.
