Bush dynasty ex-wife set to spill the beans
By Steve Bloomfield and Sophie Goodchild
30 May 2004

A new book on the Bush dynasty is set for release just six weeks before November's knife-edge presidential election. The Family: The Real Story of the Bush Dynasty by Kitty Kelley will have an initial print run of 500,000, and the main source is believed to be Sharon Bush, the ex-wife of Neil, President George W Bush's wayward brother.

...

The book could be the most damaging yet for the President, with the publishers, Random House, promising it will "cause controversy".

68. Is she PO'd or has she been encouraged to exercise the convictions
of her beliefs? My guess is the latter because people are generally shaken and scattered by anger,...whereas "conviction" conjures courage in face of inevitable retribution.

All I feel is that,...it is about freakin' time for the smear artists and betrayers to pay the piper. The American people have had their loyalty and trust secretively exploited for way too long. It's time for our people to know that they have been deceived and screwed.

86. Bush's Treated Her Like Shit. Didn't Even Leave Her A House
after her husband acted like a dog.

Apparently Bush women are supposed to just shut up and take it.

She's moved to NY, IIRC.

Down in Texas, society people are too chicken shit to stand up to the Bush family.

38. Probably more like
an airplane crash or the like. Also, it will be Hillary's fault and the dems paying her large sums of money to put the book out.

Afterall, on Washington Journal, when the Abu G. prison abuse first came out, a woman called in, a conservative (and if I'm lieing may I be struck down now); and stated that there needed to be an investigation regarding "Hillery's" trip when she went to Iraq. I swear, I have heard this at least 3 times from different callers.

So these idiots believe that when Hillary went to Iraq (with
Mrs. Dole, and another congress woman) Hillary must have gotten word to the commanders and gave them a list of things to do to these prisoners, OR, Hillary was there taking the pictures.

UNBELIEVABLE!

I listen to Washington Journal everyday. I wish I had the guts to call in, but I know I would just get all nervous and forget what I was going to say. But one thing is for sure, the conservatives that call in obviously only listen to Limbaugh and/or Hannity who make statements and put them out in the public arena with no proof whatsoever. They just throw these little tidbits out there and that is what these fans of theirs pick up. Then they believe they are more intelligent than us, are better Christians then us, support our President and call us unpatriotic for not doing so and stating we are doing nothing but hurting the troops, and that is why things have went so wrong in Iraq. It's because of us Dems.

Boy, they are sure good with the spin.

70. suicidal? history of mental illness?
isn't that why she divorced poor, faithful neil bush? who was driven to an affair with his mother's assistant after years of shouldering the pain of having married a crazy woman? and neil only married her because it was the right thing to do. he believed he could make her happy enough to leave her mental illness behind.

poor, poor neil. his only sin was loving a crazy woman too much. well, that and bringing home herpes after one of his asian sex jaunts.

ok, that and using his daddy's name to further his own non-existent career. oh, and bringing down a colorado s&l because he's got a brain the size of a le seur pea and the ethics of an alley cat.

I would imagine this will be an extremely interesting read. I have read her book on the Royals and although written in Tabloid fashion it was quite factual and fun to read. I can not imagine this will be good for Bush as she will definitely attract a more non-political audience.

Didn't she write a scathing book about Nancy Reagan several years ago?

All I can remember is the expensive White House china, hand-picked by the First Lady...and, astrologers on call to help Nancy plan her husband's agenda and schedule.

78. If memory serves the Nancy book came out late in Reagan's second term
too late to do any harm (good). It did contain some bombshells
that would have hurt Reagan with the Christian Right had he been
up for re-election.

Example: Nancy was carrying on with Ronnie before he was divorced
and was pregnant when they got married.

sadly, many people told sharon and neil to cancel the dinner after reaguns survived...neil repetitively DENIED that his personal relationship with HINKLEY (and the whole bush* family close and long time relationship with the entire hinkley family) had anything to do with the assassination attempt on the president, while pappy bush* was the VP and certainly would have ascended to presidency had hinkley succeeded...

34. Been Waiting for This Book for a Couple of Years
Wish it were out now. But maybe 6 weeks is the right time for maximum impact.

To the post saying the Nancy book was "so bitchy" all it did was gain sympathy for the RAYGUNs, I don't know how it played out back then, but I just read it last year and it was GREAT to see cold facts now that Tweety and the wingnuts are drooling over the RAYGUNs and what lovebirds they were and all. Besides the astrologers and the china, there was the Ronnie rape, the Ronnie running away until Nancy caught him, Nancy shaking down donors for clothes-houses-money, Nancy's trysts with Frank, and on and on.

The opening is a classic:

"Two entries on Nancy Reagan's birth certificate are still accurate---her sex and her color. Almost every other item was invented then or later reinvented. In truth, the certificate gave birth to two generations of lies.
The original facts about the infant Anne Frances Robbins .... were carefully rewritten: She revised her date of birth, concealed her birthplace, and cast aside her father."

39. What is the best source of info on W.'s coke habit?
All I can find is his assertion that he hadn't used drugs since '79, and that's hear-say.

Don't forget Larry Flynt's book about W. is scheduled to come out in June; talks about the illegal abortion W. got for one of his girlfriends back in the day.

The April issue of Vanity Fair had a great interview with Sharon Bush, talked about everything but the herpes; this was a great issue, it's worth ordering a back issue cause it had a great, long, article on Bev Harris and BBV, and also a great article on the fall of Conrad Black.

55. What have you heard about Larry Flynt?
I hadn't heard much about his book lately. I assumed that he hadn't been able to get the parties involved to talk on record.

If Flynt is able to prove that W paid for an abortion, that could cause serious damage to his following from the religious right.

76. The only link I have is the democrats.com
link after the interview in 2000 on crossfire. If you go to that link it has other articles, but nothing recent. I have only gone through about half of my folders on Bush, but can't find the article about the affadavits and the book coming out in June. When (or if) I find it I will post it here. (I don't have a link to CNN because they scrubbed the story.)

http://democrats.com/display.cfm?id=159

ROBERT] NOVAK: Mr. Flynt, never let it be said that we censor any of our guests here on CROSSFIRE, and you said you wanted to talk about the election. Tell me what you wanted to say.

FLYNT: Well, during the impeachment debacle, we did an investigation which resulted in the resignation of Bob Livingston and others and we have continued this investigation and for eight months we've been looking into George W. Bush's background. And we've found out in the early 1970s he was involved in an abortion in Texas, and I just think that it's sad that the mainstream media, who's aware of this story, won't ask him that question when they were able to ask him the drug question without any proof at all, and we've got all kinds of proof on this issue.

NOVAK: Well, you're...

FLYNT: You know, the guy admitted he was a drunk for 20 years, and if the abortion issue is true then that puts him lower on the morality scale than Bill Clinton.

81. "Sex Lies & Politics" will be out in July - Link
This I think is the book (link below), to be published by Kensington Press and due to come out on July 4th. At the link below, there's plenty of hints that the book will contain explosive information about the Bush family, Cheney, and others...but no specific mention of the abortion story. I assume however that it will be in there, along with lots of other juicy tidbits.

82. The Flynt book does not contain any bombshells re: abortion
The section dealing with W.'s alleged arranging of an abortion for his then-girlfriend basically recaps the evidence that he already revealed, and then discusses his attempts to get the mainstream media to pursue the story. If anyone is expecting any smoking guns, they're going to be disappointed.

and does a lot of business with China...can't remember his name...someone help me here....

anyhow, I do remember the news report, sort of...somehow, the family car moved forward in the driveway and CRUSHED the nanny to death against the garage door....all while NOBODY was in the car allegedly...it was a real strange story...no one at fault of course....just a little perfunctory examination of the scene by the local sheriff...accident, of course....no one at fault at all....

48. Sharon Bush was the subject of a Vanity Fair
Edited on Sat May-29-04 09:31 PM by LibDemAlways
article a few months back. She's very bitter about the shoddy treatment she received from Poppy and Babs at the time of the divorce. They basically cut her loose and told her to get a job - very nasty people considering how their scumbag son had treated her. I hope she told Kelly every tawdry detail. A book airing Bush family dirty laundry, though, could go on forever. Expect a big juicy read.

54. I love it. You know what they say about a woman scorned?
"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".

It's a fact: an angry ex-wife can do lots of damage. And they want to do damage. (rubs hands together)....I for one can't wait.

The IRS gets its best tips from ex-wives about husbands who have cheated on their taxes. Many other agencies get tips from those angry ex-wives.

Neil, watch out!!! It's the First Wives Club.

59. There should be a pool for guessing when they will shred her credibility
We'll be hearing astonishing things about her soon, I'm certain: She's a slut, she's crazy, she's a drunk, she's a danger to her children.

Heck, maybe she's a communist! By the way, what did she do with Jimmy Hoffa? Maybe she hid the WMD's.

The news will be on the way soon. The only question is when will they demolish her. Now, or right before the book is released?

Reagan defeated the communists. No more communists exist because the Republicans defeated them.

Perhaps they can describe her as a terrorist or radical insurgent?

64. My, how that "darling young schoolteacher" has changed
Remember old Bab's words:

Indeed, other biographies of the Bush clan written by family members have tended to portray the Bush family as a goodhearted and wholesome Texas clan that is forever being sniped at by the East Coast liberal media establishment. For instance, this is how Barbara Bush, in her 1994 memoir, described Neil and Sharon's first meeting during his work on the elder Bush's Presidential campaign in 1980: "Neil had met and fallen in love with a darling young schoolteacher from New Hampshire, Sharon Smith. He not only won her vote but, thank heavens, her heart, too."

67. Indeed this woman will reach many more than the political books
like Woodward, Clarke, etc. did (those were mainly read by partisans who will never change their minds anyhow). She is a regular gossip queen on Larry King and will undoubtedly be booked there real fast. People began to know her there and read her stuff because she was dealing with the British royals at a time when people still gobble up all the Diana stuff, etc. This is the type of 'gossip' that starts spreading around among people who don't know politics from their butt. Hopefully, as a run up to the publication, things will start leaking. It's a scorned wife that's going to get through a lot better than a politician's book. I do wonder, though, about this wife in that I took it that she was paid off not to do any book, etc. Therefore, I wonder if it is possible for her at a point to "change her mind" for big bucks and refuse to let the book be published?? I assume that Kelly already has signed releases so that she can't object at some point. This should be interesting.
