A group of 234 soldiers arrived on Sunday morning in the southeastern town of Almeria on a flight from Kuwait and another flight carrying 240 troops was due in Almeria on Sunday night, a Defence Ministry spokeswoman said.
The last 217 troops are due to be greeted by Defence Minister Jose Bono at an air base outside Madrid on Monday, she said.
Bono announced on Friday that all Spanish troops had left Iraq, crossing the border into Kuwait.
