Two U-S soldiers killed north of Baghdad

Baghdad, Iraq-AP -- Two more U-S soldiers have died in Iraq.

The U-S military says a soldier from the First Infantry Division was killed by small arms fire while on patrol (near Muqdadiyah) yesterday.Another soldier from the same division was killed in an electrical accident at a coalition base last night.As of yesterday, 787 U-S service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq last year. It's not clear whether the latest deaths are included in that total.

4. Marine killed in action in western Iraq
Baghdad, Iraq-AP -- The military says a U-S Marine has been killed in action in western Iraq.

The Marine was assigned to the First Marine Expeditionary Force in Anbar province, which includes several insurgency areas including Fallujah.

No further information was released.

As of Tuesday, the Pentagon reports 787 U-S service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq last year. Of those, 574 died as a result of hostile action and 213 died of non-hostile causes.

It's unclear whether the latest Marine death was included in the casualty count.
