U.S. reconstruction has fewer than 25,000 Iraqis on the job
WASHINGTON (AP) — Fewer than 25,000 Iraqis are working on projects in the U.S. reconstruction effort, tempering expectations that more than $18 billion in American spending would jump-start Iraq's economy and trigger a surge in goodwill toward the United States.

U.S. officials blame bureaucratic delays in contracting and the recent increase in violence for the low employment numbers, which represent less than 1% of Iraq's work force of more than 7 million.

1. And the neocon war-profiteers wonder why they are FAILING!!!
:puke:

If they were truly interested in GIVING the Iraqi people FREEDOM,...how come they fail to integrate the Iraqi people into the reconstruction,...and PAY them for their efforts.

I,...I,...I am so sick of this stingy,....oh,...I just,...I hate anyone who exploits others,...I do,....I hate the neocons exploitation of everyone.

4. Why did we disband the Iraqi Army and Police Forces.
Could have been using them from the begining.

3. Going to work
for Americans is becoming increasingly akin to signing one's own death warrant.

I don't see how this can ever work out as long as there is that huge embassy and the 14 "enduring bases" full of Americans trying to keep an eye on them.

This will continue to be a fiasco with "enduring casualties" of Americans and the Iraqis who work for them.
