(Warning to DU: At Concordia College -largest Luterhan school in US, Jesus would have wept if he'd been among the 500 graduates. Some excerpts (with my comments as to Bush's unspoken thoughts added in parenthesis):
"One person can do so much harm or so much good." ("I've focused entirely on the harm thing".)
"Our worth as human beings does not depend on our health (so I'm gutting Medicare as fast as I can while helping out Big Pharmaceuticals)'; or productivity (so stop whining about your parents' jobs being outsourced to India or other third world countries, to increase the fortunes of Big Manufacturing, Big Insurance; big Data Processing, etc.); or independence (so pay no attention to those damn liberals carping about the loss of your constitutional freedoms via my Supreme court and Patriot Acts I and II) or any other shifting value the world might apply. Our worth comes from being the image of our maker(Forget about that turn-the-other-cheek; do unto others crap! Anyone who is not a born again like us has NO worth.)"
"Nothing good or just can be built on the suffering of others. (But some record profits and dividends for Big Oil and Big Military/Industrial bidnesses CAN be!)."
"Life is not just a tool or commodity or a means to other ends (except for the cannon fodder I send to fight for the aforementioned intersts of Big Oil & Big Military Industrial Complexes).
End of excerpts. This is the most extreme example of listen-to-what-I-say; don't look at what I do!
