Father of beheaded American says son died for Bush's sins
REUTERS AND DPA , PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA AND WASHINGTON
Saturday, May 15, 2004,Page 1

The father of Nick Berg, the American beheaded in Iraq, directly blamed US President George W. Bush and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Thursday for his son's death.

"My son died for the sins of George Bush and Donald Rums-feld. This administration did this," Berg said in an interview with radio station KYW-AM two days after a video showing the execution of his son was shown on an Islamist Web site.

In the interview from outside his home in West Chester, Pennsylvania, a seething Michael Berg also said his 26-year-old son, a civilian contractor, probably would have felt positive, even about his executioners, until the last minute.

1. And, today Dick Cheney was in Boca Raton touting the U.S. policies.
His audience was primarily Jewish. He was talking about fighting "terrorism".

Does this make sense to anyone? Could 'Good ole' Dick' have been playing politics?

3. Our government is so full of it on the Berg story
...this is why they couldn't stand up to the legal action in court. They backed down immediately in face of subpoena power.

5. Solidarity With Michael Berg!
Edited on Sat May-15-04 05:23 AM by dbt
As the father of a twentysomething man, I have been feeling a small portion of Mr. Berg's pain day and night since this unthinkable event happened. But I cannot begin to understand the depth of his sorrow--the hell that he's living in right now!

Mr. Berg is exactly right about the "sins of George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld." He is chillingly correct when he says "the administration did this," because they DAMN SURE DID. And they did it to make Dick Cheney more obscenely wealthy than he already is.

There is no justification for our being in Iraq. Every excuse that the regime has offered for this "war" has evaporated in broad open daylight--even with the Media covering for bu$h 24/7!

EVERY FATHER IN THIS COUNTRY NEEDS TO BE HOWLING FOR bu$h's <REDACTED>. HE IS MURDERING OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS!

7. I was thinking this just last night
yet another Jewish man slain for the sins of others. Here we have The Passion of Nicholas Berg. It is especially eerie in that the way he was killed is the same way that animals are killed for ritual slaughter in Muslim nations. But it wasn't a Muslim nation that sent this innocent to be sacrificed. No, he was offered up through the actions of our own High Priest/Commander-in-Chief/Defender of the Faith, George W. Bush. So, in this latest permutation of the Passion, Rome hands the prisoner over to Jerusalem for execution. I know it's not an exact fit, but the similarities are symbolic enough.
