Diplomat's e-mails show Berg in custody

Something is terribly wrong the way no one will admit he was in US custody yet the family has e-mails from a diplomatic official saying he was.

6. Don't forget that DYN CORP has the contract for Iraq's police and
corrections. Another fact, SAIC has 7 DoD contracts for broadcast media in Iraq. Mr. Berg more than likely spoke to them at some point as he ostensibly was on an inspection of radio towers then was held by someone then murdered.

NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

7. There's something very strange about all this
And how conveniently it gave the RWers something that they could squawk was SO MUCH WORSE than the prison abuse.

12. Are we to believe that Iraqi authorities have autonomy?
Further, are we to swallow that we allowed them to have jurisdiction over an American citizen? During this time they visited him, why didn't they take him into custody? Sounds like taking advantage of a sovereignty issue of the Gitmoesque sort...

13. the site is down
can anyone give the summary gist of this item. Just got home and read:

Fbi (reversing its earlier statements) admits that they asked the Iraqi police to hold Berg.

then

Parents show journalists email from US diplomat stating that Berg was in US custody.

then

Police chief denies arresting Berg.

...

Unfortunately LBN is moving so fast that the last two items were on the second page and easily missed - but seem to be ... related to the first.
