Foreign Minister Rings Alarm On Iraq - a 'black Hole Sucking Up" the World

PARIS (AP) - Foreign Minister Michel Barnier, in an interview published Thursday, compared Iraq to a "black hole that is sucking up" the world and said France would at no time send in troops.

Barnier, who travels to the United Nations Friday for talks on Iraq, expressed alarm about "the spiral of horror" that is gaining ground and the loss of human dignity as violence progresses.

In an interview with the daily Le Monde, he made a "call to reason and conscience." He also stressed that Iraqis must be given authentic sovereignty after the transition of power June 30 from American to Iraqi hands.

"We must get out of this black hole that is sucking up the Middle East and, beyond that, the world," Barnier was quoted as saying.

1. Actually, that's probably an understatement
Just think. Now that Saddam is gone and we will be leaving shortly, Fundamentalist Radicals will have a whole new country to operate from and they 'll have massive oil revenues to pay for a global jihad.

Which is why we kept Saddam in power loe these many years, to keep it from happening.

Smirky will be remembered as the guy who pulled the plug and started WWIII.

Idiot. Bonehead. BibleThumping Freakazoid.

4. "We" will be leaving shortly?
I need a source for that one.

I see no sign of that even if Kerry is elected. And if he is not, the world will most likely effectively end shortly thereafter so you can get ready to kiss your * goodbye.

2. Too bad most dittoheads don't know what a black hole is.
I'm sure they see the word "France" and go into automatic dismissal mode rather than using their brains to understand what the man is saying.
