Ex-Senator's Daughter May Run for Senate

ATLANTA -- The daughter of former Senator Sam Nunn is considering a bid for the U.S. Senate from Georgia.

Michelle Nunn says she'll make up her mind about running for the seat being vacated by Zell Miller after former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young makes up his.

"There is a lot that I need to consider before making a decision," she said in an e-mail message to The Associated Press. "I have tremendous respect for (Young) and will fully support him if he decides to run."

Nunn, a Democrat, did not immediately return a telephone call seeking further comment.

Miller, also a Democrat, has announced he will not seek re-election when his term expires next year. (snip/...)
