6 Air Force Academy Cadets Resign

Sat May 8, 4:46 PM ET Add U.S. National - AP to My Yahoo!

By ROBERT WELLER, Associated Press Writer

DENVER - Six cadets have resigned from the Air Force Academy during an investigation in which 70 freshmen cadets are accused of cheating on a 25-question online test.

Fourteen of the other 64 being investigated have admitted cheating, academy spokesman Johnny Whitaker said Saturday. There are about 1,150 freshmen at the academy.

Although it is not the first time large numbers of cadets have been caught cheating, it comes in the wake of a sexual assault scandal that resulted in the ouster of all four academy commanders last year.

"It's another indication of the cultural issues we are facing, just like the sexual assault scandal. Obviously we are disappointed," said Whitaker.

6. But Clenis and his immoral behavior
set the tone & created the environment in which all of these later pranks, from Afghanistan to Colorado Springs, have occurred.

9. That and the godless anything goes culture
You're exactly right. This is going to come down to the Clenis and the amoral liberals. I've seen hints of the culture stuff, even here, I try to squelch it. We all know how good they are at this kind of stuff and this is exactly what they'll try to do.

2. Aren't things going beautifully for the military these days?
This administration promised to "rebuild" the military and restore morale (which was supposedly so low 4 years ago), and now we have a military that is exhausted, overdeployed, thousands of casualties in Iraq; morale is low and they're racked with allegations of cheating, torture and cover-ups.

3. Yeah, well...
With all that terrorism and stuff the repugs really haven't had time to bring the military up to snuff.

5. actually, despite the obvious honor lapse...
...I see some hope here. At least there were consequences for those who were caught. As a professional educator, I fear it won't be long before gaming the system is a part of the curriculum.

7. Asign of the tiimes
a local story on the local news channel

Cheat lie, get ahead.. I ain't shiting you

From peronal experience I'd say the lack of morals is all over the
place.

Somewhere the country took a wrong turn from ethics and morals, and now we will pay for it, with interest...
