Go Now, Peer Tells PM
FILM producer and Labour peer David Puttnam, right, has called on Tony Blair to quit.

Puttnam, a friend of the PM, says he should make way for Chancellor Gordon Brown. His call comes days after former Labour Chancellor Denis Healey urged the same move.

Puttnam said Blair was so closely linked with the bad news coming out of Iraq, he could damage Labour's prospects in the next election.

6. "No more Tory Lite"
Of course here in America, I would settle for the most conservative (almost) Torry over Bush.

3. Wouldn't it be something if they all went down?
Whether by losing elections, resignations, or impeachments. That would be so sweet.

4. it will be hard to describe my happiness...
...when Tony Blair finds himself utterly isolated and despised for having taken Labour and the United Kingdom along on Bush's spiral into history's dustbin.

7. Blair *does* need to step down
No question. I'd *love* to see Blair taken down for his alliance with The Evil-Doer, and would especially like to see him out of office before the US election this Fall (for its effect on US opinion) -- but agree that he really does need to step down, for the sake/health of the UK Labour Party.

However misguided Blair's allegiance to *, I shudder to think what a */Tory alliance would do. (Like our psychotics need any encouragement.)
