U.S. Says Has Rushed Tanks to Iraq to Crush Rebels
To crush rebels? Nice choice of words, huh?

"Bush, seeking re-election in November with Iraq a burning campaign issue, said there were "pockets of resistance" in the city but "most of Falluja is returning to normal." "

Normal? Nice choice of words, huh?

5. Did you see Rummy's compassionate response during his brief
press conference today? It was something to the effect, "what is going on is terrorists are shooting marines and our marines are going in and killing them".

Surely he could have phrased it better then that.

13. And how are the "terrorists" shooting marines before the marines
go in? Do our guns not shoot as far as their guns?

23. We will crush the rebels with one swift stroke
Every time I hear one of these jackoffs speak I swear they're channeling Grand Moff Tarkin from Star Wars IV.

Its a shame we're living through the prequel. I kinda liked the Old Republic...

9. Two questions;
Where are they getting the tanks from? and Why wait until right now to start using armor? The answers appear to be piss poor planning and a situation that has deteriorated more than we are being led to believe.

12. Most of our tanks were casualties.
Our main battle tanks were dropping like flies during last year's fighting. Not to enemy fire, but to dust, sand, age, and poor design.

No doubt they were all in Kuwait being repaired.

10. Normal to Bush
is when any opposition to him rests under six feet of earth. And that includes you and me, my friends.

If we are stupid enough to allow him to remain in power, we are next.

14. Just exactly what was the $150 Billion spent so far....
...for? Now we are short of things needed to wage war? Let the mantra begin: No more Bush...No more Bush...No more Bush...No more Bush...No more Bush...

19. I think you saw too many Viet Nam war movies of the Rambo variety
The U.S. military hardly handcuffed themselves in Viet Nam, unless you consider not using H-bombs to be handcuffing. At the peak there were half a million U.S. soldiers in Viet Nam, hardly a token effort. Some 58,000 of them died, hardly a token number. And about two million Vietnamese were estimated to have been killed, hardly the sign of a military holding back. If you go by body counts of Viet Cong and NVA claimed by the Pentagon at the time, the entire male population of Viet Nam was wiped out several times over, hardly a token p.r. campaign.

20. Technical question here.....
One can check a Profile for the Tombstone. If the User has disabled their Profile, how can we tell if an Alert is needed?

Don't want to bother the Moderators excessively.
