Occupy Wall Street protesters should 'buy bar of soap and head home,' Rep. Michael Grimm says
Source: Staten Island Advance

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Rep. Michael Grimm today blasted Occupy Wall Street protesters as "lowlifes," telling them to "buy a bar of soap," clean up and ship out.

That includes Occupiers threatening to "overrun" the Staten Island Ferry and subways, whom he called a "mob."

Said Grimm: "It has been two months and now it's time for the OWS protesters to pack up their tents, buy a bar of soap and head home ...These people have overstayed their welcome. It's time they get the heck out of New York City. Between the filth, smell, incessant noise and threat to public safety, they have done nothing but cause a nuisance to the people who work and live in Lower Manhattan."

Grimm, a former small business owner, also charged that protesters have "cost the city and surrounding businesses millions of dollars," adding: "It's time these people find a more productive use of their time. New Yorkers have had enough!"

Michael Grimm is the Republican who replaced Vito Fossella (R-NY) who resigned in disgrace after a DUI in Virginia and the revelation of an ongoing affair.

19. Grimm Is Extremely Limited
Grimm is a puppet of the bosses - he'll never be anything else. They can't run him for higher office because there's nowhere for him to go. If a New York state Republican were electable to the United States Senate, it would probably be Peter King, who at least has a brain. Grimm has perfected that deer frozen in the headlights look that Dan Quayle made famous.

You can't give Grimm anything sharp to play with, he'd only cut himself. So the bosses have him go with the dirty hippies meme. You never know when a reporter might just pop up out of nowhere and ask Grimm a question. He doesn't have good answers, but at least they have him prepared so he won't give a terrible answer.

20. Republican Seat Held by Susan Molinari
Democrat Vito Fossella turned Republican to run for the seat abruptly vacated by Susan Molinari. Nobody could quite figure out why she just upped and quit politics. And since she was gone from public life, investigative reporters stayed out of it. Her husband, the Congressman rumored to be having an affair with Brit Hume's son, also quit in a hurry. Hume's son committed suicide, and Hume himself became a truly bitter man.

The Republicans didn't have anybody ready to run when Fossella himself quit, enabling City Councel member Mike McMahon to get elected to Congress. McMahon served one term and is remembered as one of five or six Democrats to vote against health care reform. That betrayal of the national party cost McMahon the support of local Democrats who refused to get out the vote. Grimm, a bumfuck nobody who'd never held office, became a Member of Congress. Eventually they're going to do something about him. Left to his own devices, Grimm does things like calling for convicted spy Jonathan Pollard to be granted a pardon.

29. 2001: A Grimm Odyssey

By now, many of you have probably heard that the Grimm Reaper claims to be a first responder on 9/11. We here at Grimm Reaper put together a video exploring the time line of what Michael Grimm did in 2001 that leaves us with far more questions than adequate answers:

Yesterday, the Daily News published an article about Grimm's business dealings, and how he willingly worked with a convict because "he deserved a second chance." Which is funny, considering that Michael Grimm's proposals don't even give the middle class one chance, let alone two.

What's the most interesting in this article is: see link for rest of very interesting story.

As for the surrounding businesses, the police barricades caused the losses, according to the owners.

At least a few businesses actually benefitted from the encampment - a local pizza place was delivering approx. 200 pizzas daily and a local outdoors shop had a nice increase with the sale of tents tarps and warm weather gear, so this repug douche and suck it!
