Primary Status: Cain a ‘no-show' for NH Union Leader interview
Source: Manchester Union-Leader

THURSDAY, NOV. 17, UPDATE: CAIN NO-SHOW. Herman Cain was a no-show for an interview at the New Hampshire Union Leader this morning.

...snip...

Initially, the Cain campaign said agreed to the full hour or more but then told the newspaper said it did not want C-SPAN to tape the interview.

...snip...

After confusion arose over whether the interview had been cancelled, Cain's campaign apparently scheduled another event at roughly the same time and said Cain could appear at the newspaper for only 20 minutes.

Publisher Joseph McQuaid rejected the suggestion, telling the campaign that if Cain could not appear for the full 60 minutes, then there would be no interview.

When you consider how much time Cain would need to "gather his thoughts", you can understand why the UL would want a full hour....

9. Yet another AWOL Republicon
Edited on Thu Nov-17-11 01:42 PM by SpiralHawk
If Teh Groper (R) can't even face the Onion Leader (R), he is in pathetic shape. The Onion Leader is known as a deluxe right-wing, on-its-knees Republicon Propaganda newsrag, in Full Fellatio Mode for all Right WingBagger Whackjobs (R).

sigh...Poor America, having to put up with these Chickenhawk FAIL Freak Republicons.

10. I think it's the other way around...
The UL is a major gate-keeper in New Hampshire for what is an acceptable Republican, and has damaged many a Republican primary candidate who didn't play ball with them.

16. Oh yeah. They did a fine job blocking George AWOL Bush
and the gaggle of other FAIL Freak Republicon losers.

Can't buy that 'gatekeeper' meme. The Onion Leaders is on it's knees for RepubliCons, and always has been.

I'm betting their editors are going to have an interesting editorial about it tomorrow. They're right wing but I'm guessing they don't like getting stood up.

14. I have to wonder how this guy even got the job
of CEO of Godfather's Pizza, let alone all the other more important jobs he's had. Anyone else would have been shown the door with an interview like his with the Milwaukee Sentinal Journal.

15. The man's a loser.
He's not serious about being potus. He just wants to spend some of his pizza fortune cruising around and being kind of famous for a while. He has no actionable ideas, only slogan-esque stuff (like 9-9-9 tax schemes) that he packages like detergent to con a few cons. Nothing he proposes would get past the back-of-a-paper-napkin stage.

He's such a boob that I hope he gets the nomination.

17. NH UL lmao
I wouldn't show up either. The Union Leader is a rag of a paper...caused a lot of problems for my family. It took a court order to get them to stop.
