Sepp Blatter urged to stand down from Fifa for racism views
Source: Daily Telegraph UK

Blatter’s ill-advised and offensive comments were made in two television interviews on Wednesday in which he denied there was a problem with racism in the sport, before suggesting players who are victims of abuse should “remember it’s just a game and “shake hands” with their abuser.

The 75-year-old has been furiously trying to backtrack on those comments as media, anti-racism campaigners and players condemn them.

"I just feel it's the straw that broke the camel's back,” said Taylor. “When you see the corruption they've had at Fifa, the comments he made about homosexuals not going to Qatar, the way he talked about women's football, the style of the arrangements for the World Cup, the fact he won't have technology. I think it's really time to move over for (Uefa President) Michel Platini.

“When you have the head of the world body saying that anyone on the receiving end on the pitch of racism should just treat it as part of the game and shake hands, it is outrageous and he is just not with it."

In the early 1970s, Blatter was elected president of the World Society of Friends of Suspenders, an organization which tried to stop women replacing suspender belts with pantyhose

5. Blatter stepping down would be the best thing
to happen to world football in years. The problem is, FIFA is corrupt to the core. The next one will likely be just as bad.

9. He denied there was a problem with racism in the sport?
Why, then, the "Kick It Out!" campaign, led by, among others, new MLSer Thierry Henry?
