Judge tosses Jesse Ventura's airport scans lawsuit
Source: Associated Press

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit by former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura in which he sought to challenge the use of full-body scans and pat-downs at airport checkpoints.

Ventura sued the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration in January alleging that the scans and pat-downs violated his right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizure.

U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson ruled on Thursday that the court lacked jurisdiction.

Ventura claimed that the titanium hip implanted in him in 2008 sets off metal detectors and that agents previously used hand-held wands to scan his body. He says he was subjected to a body pat-down after an airport metal detector went off last November.

3. Time for some more OWS...
I'm sick and tired of this Dept. of Homeland Dictatorship.

They tromple the rights of Americans while ignoring gapping holes
in security at airports, ports, trains and the like.

A lot of show but not always real action.

4. He should appeal. They always rule that the 'court lacked
jurisdiction' in these cases. He should go to the next level now.

Good for him for trying to do something about these abuses.

5. I agree with him on this issue but...
He is so involved in many BS Conspiracy Theories that he lost any respect in my eyes long ago...Especially his claims that Climate Change is just another lie meant to control people & its a plot for one world government to rule the world. Seriously, WTF?

And quotes from Jesse like..."I learned that radio waves really can get inside your head. They got inside mine."

Like many Conspiracy NUTS these days they take important issues & basically discredit them with their wild baseless ideas...So, anyone & everyone who supports limiting greenhouse gases & other changes to slow our destruction of the planet are described as "blind" "shills for the NWO (whatever that is) "Government agents", etc.,

Sorry, but I can't stand science deniers who instead of trying to argue the science with evidence & facts they choose to lie & make up wild crazy conspiracies...And people choose to believe the NUTS not the scientist. The internet makes stupid popular & cool! Oh well.
