10. Yes those places where arrests are not a matter of public record
and the arrestees "disappear" are much preferable. :sarcasm:

3. Maybe in Oregon
But in CA, mugs shots are revealed only at the discretion of law enforcement. They don't have to release mug shots. That being said, assume this was voluntary and not mandatory on the part of the cops in Oregon. Why do it. I would think it emboldens the protesters. Not all cops are stupid. Many know they are in the 99% But cop mentality = stupid.

5. Isn't this true, though
One protester, Jason Sayer, 40, told The Oregonian that the raid was a "colossal waste of resources," and he added that "Obama would talk poorly of Syria and Egypt if this happened there."

And it sounds like Atlanta protesters are getting seriously harassed, too. I didn't even expect there to be that big of a protest there, it's a pretty rightwing state. The cops and courts are pretty bad there, too.

6. the online comments are overwhelmingly in favor of the protesters, however....
Many refer to them as heroes, patriots, etc, and to the PPD as thugs and pigs. Some of the arrested even joined in the comments to identify themselves when their pics were not published-- it's a wall of heroes that everyone wants to be pictured on, not a source of shame or embarrassment. Not the intended result, I'm sure.

9. BUT, when you take pics or vids of the Police...they want them removed!
...how the Police Militia have been pressuring YouTube to remove vids.

Hey, good for the goose...good for the gander!
