People should not look at NK from a US perspective
Seems that tons of people want to go with the "bush/cheney tried to kill Kim" scenario.

I think this demonstrates a gross lack of understanding regarding North Korea.

There are tons of people within North Korea that would have reason/desire to take out Kim. It is FAR more likely that an internal group within North Korea would make an assassination attempt than the US. Believe it or not life isn't exactly a party under Kim.

If you want to get in to conspiracy theories then I would say it would be more likely empirically that Kim would arrange this himself. If you look at history dictators have traditionally arranged failed assassination attempts or national tragedies to gain either sympathy or sway the masses to feel/believe something.

Regarding the lack of media... People seem surprised that North Korea is not publishing info about the explosion in the media. Therefore they reason it must be a special situation. Guess what? North Korea doesn't have a free press. This is typical behavior.

Let us also not forget this was hours off. If it was more than likely an accident.

3. I got all of my information about this
From the BBC and other accredited news sources. Afraid I didn't ask the CIA. Nice tin foil though.

6. Sometimes a horrible accident is just a horrible accident
....and North Korea is a very paranoid, secretive country. Let's give this one a few weeks to play out.

As for people who might have arranged and botched a hit, they are too numerous to mention. China has as much reason as anyone to want him gone, as he threatens to queer the deal they have with the US building their entire industrial base at its own expense. They'd certainly have done a better job of it, though.

My money's on a terrible accident.
