British troops 'fight with US, not like US'
more criticism of Bush's war

"Tensions between the two military forces in Iraq have emerged in recent weeks.

US commanders are privately critical of the British for taking too soft a line while senior British military officers are describing the Americans as too brutal.

Gen Jackson appears to distance the British Army from its US allies.

"The phrase I use for this is, we must be able to fight with the Americans, that doesn't mean we must be able to fight as the Americans, if you see my distinction," he said."

1. We don't understand the concept of 'war crimes".
Alls fair in war, we think, so we don't even count the civilians we massacre with collateral damage, and al Jazeera is considered not credible for reporting the indiscriminate slaughter. History will judge our country as the most hubris riddled and inhumane ever, while we live in blissful denial about how our imperialism; militarily, culturally and economically are destroying the rest of the world while we live in a totally unsustainable and obscenely wasteful wretched excess.

I don't hate the divine concept of American democracy, i just hate the American reality of corporate globalist fascism.

3. We forget something when we let our war dogs run free.
Take 'em off the leash and let them go. Don't restrain them 'cuz you can't. Don't limit them they don't heel well. Turn 'em loose and count the cost after.

Maybe if we remembered more that we'd use 'em less.

It ain't pretty, and it isn't humane or moral. Welcome to the front lines.

Our troops would never do such things, I believe nothing - especially not evidence or expert testimony.

7. If you've been reading closely over the last couple days...
...you'd know we can't believe you or our own eyes. :) Basically we're fucked.

9. Seems like a pointless distraction to me.
Fairly typical armed forces humor, I've seen similar Vietnam pictures in a friend's father's scrapbook... the endless threads about it struck me as fairly idiotic considering the amount of bloodshed going on.

Well, good luck with it.

11. The problem is...
...it became an international incident. Otherwise more people would probably agree with you.

Getting back to the article, ugh... this Basra thing today was nasty business, it came almost as a response after weeks of the talking heads types babbling about how it was a small number of people, not a nationwide-uprising, how things were going great in the south...

GREAT PROGRESS, huh?

Nauseating.

And when the former worldwide experts at colonial imperialism are aghast at your tactics, then - geez.

Cue POGO line.

Just make sure to do a better job ignoring me than some do.
