Senator's Wife Charged With Assault
WASHINGTON -- The wife of a U.S. senator is in trouble with the law.

SENATOR'S WIFE
Wanda Baucus Talks To Police

Wanda Baucus is the wife of Democratic Sen. Max Baucus of Montana. She is accused of assaulting a woman Tuesday at Johnson's Garden Center on Van Ness Street, Northwest.

Mrs. Baucus was released Wednesday afternoon after an appearance in D.C. Superior Court. She was officially charged with assault in court.

---snip---

Sources told News4's Pat Collins that Mrs. Baucus dropped a bag of mulch under the woman's car, then struck the woman in the body and face a number of times.

Collins reported that Mrs. Baucus drove from the scene, and returned a while later with her husband. That is when she talked to police about the incident.

12. She's a peace activist
I bet the other woman was some kind of Bush lover and Wanda plum lost her mind!

"The senator's wife, Wanda, a painter and anthropologist, has gone so far as to desecrate the American flag by replacing the stars with doves on an appeasement poster prominently displayed at their home in snooty Georgetown.

"We are way out of line" and have no right to fight Saddam Hussein, Mrs. B told the Washington Post.

"Baghdad is where the beginning of civilization occurred, literally where the wheel was invented, where the very first city was built, where writing began, and it has a very deep and profoundly beautiful history, which we should never take lightly, no matter who the existing president is," she rambled.

Saddam 'Cares About' the Citizens He Massacres

There is no evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, she claimed. Oh, and here's what she says about Iraq's genocidal dictator:

"I think he is very proud of the history of his country. I think it's we Americans who don't know the facts about what anthropologists call 'the cradle of civilization.' When we watch the bombing on television, we really don't seem to understand or appreciate that some of these places are sacred. ... I disagree with those who say that Saddam Hussein doesn't think about this. He cares about these places and their people."

...and wouldn't talk to the news outlets. She actually looked like a very nice lady (that kind of leaves out republican).....Wanda looks like one whacked out woman who forgot to take her meds.

20. And I'm suposed to believe this Imperial Pravda
Newsmax.com is the Bushevik equivalent of Hitler's Kultur or Der Sturmer rag.

Show me a more credible source and I'll believe these Bushevik Lies.

Newsmax corroborated by Rush is like Kultur corrbotated by Julius Streicher.

Just in case you don;t know who the Nazi Hannity/Limbaugh/O'Reichley was:

26. Dude, you TOTALLY missed what I was referring to
And if you think that's what I'm about...well...you must not have read many of my posts.

First, kindly inspect my other posts on this thread.

Second, actually READ the post which my response was directed at.

Here's the story I was doubting, not the "Mulch Scuffle" story:

Try reading first, THEN responding. Your replies will make much more sense to those they are directed at.

23. My experience with the Senator makes me think he is the family DINO
and she might be the real Dem in the house. The "Peace is Patriotic" sign she has posted at there DC area home makes me think she might not be a happy camper with the way ol Max kowtows to the malAdministration.

When I read about this in the Billings Gazette my wicked little mind shouted we've got us another budding Martha Mitchell reaching out for help.

I remember when Martha died, someone sent flowers to the grave site service with a big ribbon emblazoned with "Martha was right"
on them. Martha was probably a decent sort driven to drink/drugs and aggressive outburst by outrage at the Nixon Administration shenanigans. Once more that era and this one breed similar reactions.

31. "Martha Mitchell effect"
this is amusing, sad and perhaps a harbinger:
Martha Mitchell effect

<snip> "The Martha Mitchell effect is a process by which a belief is mistakenly diagnosed as a delusion by a psychiatrist. This is named after Martha Mitchell (the wife of John Mitchell the Attorney-General in the Nixon administration) who alleged that illegal activity was taking place in the White House. At the time her claims were thought to be signs of mental illness, and only after the Watergate scandal broke was she proved right (and hence sane).

It was first named by psychologist Brendan Maher." //

Time Magazine cover 11-30-70

"She had a lot to say" unfortunately, not much of it seems to be on the web. Maybe somebody has a bio of her on the bookcase? Died of cancer in 76
http://www.deadoraliveinfo.com/dead.nsf/mnames-nf/Mitchell+Martha

As I recall, she used to get drunk/disorderly and call reporters and politicians and really let them have both barrels. Seems there were reports of her getting verbally abusive at parties. Very mouthy and decidedly unladylike by Washington standards. She used to make claims about corruption which were thought ludicrous at the time. Turns out, she was pretty damned honest. I used to wonder if those flowers came from John Lenon or Deep Throat.

Martha Was Right. They said she was crazy and may have held her in isolation to keep her quiet. I think she just saw so much evil in the WH that she just snapped. I can't help but wonder if Wanda Baucus hasn't had e-n-o-u-g-h of the DC BS and is snapping too. Not making excuses for her behavior at the garden center, just speculating. that woman's intution thing kicked in while readig the story this morning.

32. Looks like they may have whacked her
As a molecular biologist, I can tell you that there are many chemicals that WILL cause cancer in high enough doses.

Plutonium being the most toxic (something like 1/10,000,000th of a gram causes leukemia in 6 mos. 100% chance) but of course VERY traceable and identifiable so it is unlikely it was used.

She probably knew what was on that 18 minutes of tape and MORE. It also wouldn't surprise me if books about her are being quietly removed from the Library of Congress, etc.

Am I too :tinfoilhat: .

I don't know anymore. I need no more convincing that the grandchildren of Hitler's Angel are nearly as bad, perhaps more (time will tell and ONLY time) and are capable of that and much worse.

You think Poppy's faction or His Private CIA Force (you know, all the Monstrous Agents the Church Commission exposed?) "helped" Ms. Mitchell along with a nice, carcinogenic cocktail or three?

One wonders...as we live in the New Soviet Union, two things are clear:

1) Absolutely the Totalitarian Tyrants that rule Imperial Amerika are capable of this single murder when they have slaughtered 10s of thousands of Iraqis and 1,000+ of our own soldiers (not to mention the tens of thousands of our wounded and the 100s of thousands of wounded Iraqis) and may well have LIHOPped or MIHOPped 3,000 American (they were New York Liberals, so I'm guessing the Busheviks wouldn't have much more guilty feelings that if they swatted 3,000 flies)

2) As in the Old Soviet Union, we will never know the real answer.

29. uh.... Baucus isn't the most liberal Dem in the Senate
Edited on Thu Apr-22-04 03:47 PM by DinoBoy
But he's CERTAINLY NOT a DINO. He's on our side on 85% of the issues, although I will admit, that 15% is pretty important (Iraq war, gay marriage, etc). But, he's a moderate dem from a big supposedly red state, so I can cut him some slack.

I'm sorry to see that it was a dem wife who went postal on some poor clerk. Unfortunately, a lot of these people actually think that they are some kind of "royalty" and are better than everyone else. I remember the wife of some hack representative from lower NYS who used to abuse me on the phone when she wanted publications about her area of the law. Believe me, I had some dark thoughts about getting even. How mad did it make me? Note that I came back and edited this, that may give you some idea.

Not good.
