Suicide Car Bombers Kill 68 in Southern Iraq

BASRA, Iraq (Reuters) - Suicide bombers killed at least 68 people, 17 of them children incinerated in minibuses taking them to school, in coordinated strikes on police stations in Iraq's mainly Shi'ite city of Basra Wednesday.

Basra Mayor Wael Abdul-Hafeez accused Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network of being behind the morning rush-hour blasts that shattered months of relative calm in the southern city.

Near-simultaneous car bombs hit three police stations in Basra and two more struck a police academy in Zubair, a mainly Sunni town 15 miles further south.

6. collaborators working as police under the invaders aren't "innocents"

the bus seems to have been a tragic accident. If I was an Israeli or American government propagandist, I'd say that the invaders and their collaborators shouldn't be hiding in populated areas if they don't want innocents to get hurt.. but that line of argument disgusts me, thus I will not seriously put it forward.

At any rate I have long suspected that the "Zarqawi" crew are agents of the invaders, for ultimately it is only the latter that benefit.
