(Former NYC mayor) Ed Koch backs Obama
Source: Politico

Ed Koch, often unpredictable but ultimately someone who tries to remind people he's a Democrat, decides to back President Obama after weeks of criticizing him, via Ben.

Koch wrote, in explaining his decision:

The President should be praised for intervening with the Egyptian army to save the Israeli diplomatic personnel from physical assault and providing the Israeli military with bunker buster bombs, advanced military technology and providing military intelligence cooperation far exceeding his predecessors. I’m now on board the Obama Reelection Express.

Koch has also done turncoat endorsements at times, as he endorsed re-electing Bush in 2004! In the special election for Anthony Weiner's vacant House seat Koch endorsed the TP Republican Bob Turner (who won).

1. Is he one of the Koch Brothers?
Actually, he acts like one of the Marx Brothers. I'm sure his endorsement will make all the difference in the election.

4. I remember Mara Liasson/NPR bragging about how Obama lost support from the Jewish voters
...When reporting about losing the Weiner seat to Turner.

5. Speaking of NPR...
I listened for probably over 25 years...and stopped because I could not
take the SNARK from Steve Inskeep and Michelle Norris...or Mara Liasson.

Every so often, I sneak over to my local station, KPCC in Los Angeles for some
of their super-duper excellent local programs but will not listen to the national any longer.

I was never looking from them (NPR national), for Dem/Lib/Progressive slant, just honest and non-biased reporting...that was not what I was finding any longer.
