OSLO, Norway (AP) — Police say two people have been killed in a fire on a cruise liner operating on a popular route along Norway's coast.

Police said in a statement Thursday they received information that an additional four people are missing, but said they couldn't confirm that.

Hospital officials say six people have been taken into hospital, at least two with serious burns and smoke injuries. The operator of the ship says three of its crew were among those sent to hospital.

It also said some of its crew is searching the ship to make sure all the 262 people on board have been evacuated.

2. Thanks for the information.
I hope it's not a terrorist attack.

4. I am puzzled, have never understood this sentiment. Hoping a disaster was human caused, not that
an airplane just failed and broke apart and crashed, or a ship simply caught on fire. I'd rather things have a known cause, not just "it happens". I'm not criticizing, just have never understood this.

6. Excuse me???? Where did you get the idea I hoped for anything
other than what I said? I said "I hope it's not a terrorist attack."....and you manage to twist that into my hopeing it was human caused????

7. Misunderstanding. I hope things are human caused vs planes simply failing.
Not meaning to twist your words or imply you hoping anything. Sorry for the misunderstanding, not what I meant.

I meant I would rather have things be caused by a known cause, by a person, rather than having (for example) planes simply breaking up midair.

It is more like a engine fire, who got somewhat out of control than a terrorist attack. At the moment, the ship is at least secured, and they are doing their best, to stop the fires. After that I belive they wil try to get the ship to a habour to find out what to do next..

It is sad that two pepole is dead, but at least the other 260 pax is secured, and wil be helped on their way to their destination..
