Puerto Rico senator resigns after Weiner-esque photo scandal (Republican)
Source: Washington Post

A Puerto Rico senator says he can’t remember whether he posted explicit photos on the gay cruising app Grindr, but presented a letter of resignation this weekend anyway.

Roberto Arango gave an Anthony Weiner-esque non-denial of the photos to local news outlets: “You know I've been losing weight. As I shed that weight, I've been taking pictures. I don't remember taking this particular picture but I'm not gonna say I didn't take it. I'd tell you if I remembered taking the picture, but I don't.”

Arango has previously voted in favor of Resolution 99, a proposal that would block any attempt to permit same-sex marriages in Puerto Rico. He has also opposed adoption rights for gay people.

The AP reports.that local news media published photos from the application showing, “a man’s nude upper body with a cell phone obscuring his face,” and another showing “a rear view of a nude man on his hands and knees.”

4. Call them what they are... Republicans.

The GOP is alive and well in Puerto Rico. The GOPPR is like the "Tea Party" of Puerto Rico, see http://www.goppr.org/category/cont/party-leaders, and they are often both Republican and PNP. Former Governor Pedro Rosello was a Democrat and I also believe that even Carlos Romero Barcelo was indeed a Democrat. This Senator is not your grandma's PNP, he is a Republican (Republicano) PNP, a teabagger.

This party (GOPPR) is "guarded" by their "Grandfathers" or the old Conservative operatives responsible of supressing until submission the pro-Independence movement with their scare tactics. They worked closely with the local police force, FBI and CIA to "exterminate" anything resembling Socialism or Communism; the Puerto Rico pro-Independence movement, Labor Parties and Unions, Student Unions, even calling for the implementation of "English Only" policies in Puerto Rico even when the mayority of PNP affiliates want to be able to have both English and Spanish as national languages.

Being a member of the Partido "Republicano de Puerto Rico" is pretty much putting a sign on your forehead saying that you are a filthy "Tea Partier". Governor Fortuno is a registered Republican implementing "Shock Doctrine" economic policies and creating the ultimate police state in order to further decimate the local economy. Their target has always been diminishing the public opinion of the country and telling Puertorricans that they cannot make it on their own and that they must become part of the Union. So many decades of doing this is finally paying off as Puertorricans (locan and those living in the USA) are currently convinced that there is no way out of poverty without becoming a US State. He ephitomizes the utra-conservative sector of the PNP or ironically called "Partido Nuevo Progresista (New Progressive Party).

6. I know all about this jerkoffs, having grown up around many of them. Which is why I said the closest
thing to. The thing is douchebags like Rosello consider themselves "Democrats" (maybe because Clinton happened to be in power at the time). That are neoliberal right wing scum whatever party in the US they happen to suck up to. That's for sure.

I never truly understood. They don't even fit the "Blue Dog" designation in my book.

5. Ay Dios mio!!! Was this guy married? If so, it was kind of like Weiner....
otherwise, the only "Weiner-like" thing about it is that he's putting his block-n-tackle (and his entire undercarriage) up on the internet for all to see....

But what we learn here about the fellow is that he's looking for gay companionship, while outwardly espousing an anti-gay legislative attitude.

And for that, what it's really like is HYPOCRISY.

Ay,Dios mio!!!
