Bill Moyers returning to weekly TV in January
Source: Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) – Journalist Bill Moyers retired from weekly TV a year ago but now says he plans to return.

He said Monday he'll be back in January with an hourlong interview show called Moyers & Company.

He says the new weekly show will not be carried by PBS, the home for much of his past programming. It will be distributed to public TV stations by American Public Television.

5. Really!
He's 77 years old. In the interview on BookTV this morning, he clearly stated that he needed to resign when he left "The Journal" last year. Now here he is coming back to tv yet again, much to my delight.

I love the man. I've loved him for years and years and years. I'm SO glad for all of us that he's coming back yet again. No one has the vision, depth, insight and truth-telling ability that he has.

33. and John McLaughlin still does both his shows on PBS even at age 80+
so I'm sure that Moyers still can.

8. There's too much juicy politics put there right now for him to retire.
I hope I get to see the show where I live.

10. Juicy Politics?
This is not a criticism of your statement, so much as one man's juicy politics is another mans' slide into totalitarian fascism.

These times are not politics as usual, these times are more when are the peasants going to violently overthrow their tyrannical government.

All our institutions are failing us simultaneously because they are all run by greedy sociopaths. Our founding fathers are on their rev limiters in their graves.

36. Maybe in some countries, but Americans can barely be arsed to vote, let alone
show up at a demonstration, let alone violently overthrow their government.

28. Hogwash.
I live in a Republican district in a very Republican state. They ran his old show here. They will run his new show, too. It will be available on the PBS web site as a video, too. Just like all their other shows.

:woohoo:

I've missed him so much... His PBN Journal was always one of my most-loved programs. Thank you Mr. Moyers for coming back!!! I will definitely be tuning in if I can get this channel on my current cable plan. If not, an upgrade may be in order.

Lived there myself briefly (didn't like the tropical clime; I am not an awesome musician). But your meaning is understood.
