Qantas flushing safety down toilet, says pilots

QANTAS chief executive Alan Joyce will flush safety down the toilet by moving jobs to Asia, the pilots' union says.

Australia's biggest airline has announced it plans to cut 1000 jobs as part of its five-year plan.

Australian and International Pilots Association spokesman Nathan Safe today predicted that 100 to 200 pilots stood to lose their jobs as safety excellence was "flushed down the toilet".
