Australia 'collar-bomb' suspect arrested in US

An Australian man has been arrested in the US in connection with an attack on a teenager who had a fake bomb strapped to her neck, the FBI says.

The suspect, 50-year-old Paul "Doug" Peters, was arrested in Kentucky, in an operation involving Australian police and the FBI, officials said.

The Australian authorities said they would ask the US to extradite the man.

Madeleine Pulver, 18, was targeted at her home in Sydney earlier this month. It took 10 hours to remove the device.
