10. Amongst one segment of Democrats his support may

be high, but when you lump that sum in with the rest of reality-based Democrats then you may find you have a different answer all together.

11. In this poll, 71% of Democrats approve of Pres. Obama while 77% of Democrats want him re-elected.
"Thirty-eight percent say they disapprove because President Obama has been too liberal, but 13 percent say they disapprove of Obama because he has not been liberal enough - nearly double what it was in May, when the question was last asked, and the first time that number has hit double digits in Obama's presidency... the number of Democrats who want the party to renominate Obama next year, now at 77 percent, is relatively robust by historical standards"

Gee, this situation sounds really disastrous! :sarcasm:

I laugh every time I hear a Repuke say "He's the most liberal President of my lifetime!" Yeah, right.

13. They also had
said that Prez O lost the majority of Jew voters. Guess what, a recent poll said majority of Jews still support Prez O. Therefore, the liberals might be frusrtated with him but will vote for him rather than a goper. The consequences weigh heavy just look at WI, OH, FL, MI, NJ, Maine, and so forth.

20. Well, the jury's still out
on what this liberal will do in November 2012. I have a feeling I will NOT be pulling the "Obama lever" a second time. Gee, I cried like a baby when I was able to cast my vote for him in 2008 - what a ceiling we were about to smash! Next time I will probably cry for what 'could have been'. Like I said, it's a shame.

Who is ORC International, anyway? That's not a widely recognized or acclaimed pollster.

Guaranteed campaigners. Guaranteed vocal support.

If your most ardent supporters are fleeing, you've got a big issue here.

he is the greatest and most popular president ever.

Then when the tragic occurs, they will be flabbergasted.

very secretive meetings on so many topics, when he promised transparency, I'm surprised it's as high as it is! A lot of us are sick of the folks who demonize anyone who questions even the slightest policy point!

The most ardent two people I know who backed him feel he's "most likely a lost cause", and, "not sure what he's doing", and the rest of us (a dozen or so) who supported him after our candidate (Edwards, Clinton, Kooch) was out of the race are saying, "now I know why I felt how I did about him not being ready", and such.

He's too eager to compromise with insanity - and that's terrifying. He did abysmally on the health care bill, and the big pharma deal, oh and the tax breaks for the wealthy being now "Obama's tax breaks", so if he allows cuts to what little left the poor and elderly have to survive on, just to get a pin's prick of pain from the rich, he's going to lose resoundingly. That could send the senate to the GOP. It won't be the Progressives fault, it will be Obama's for sounding like one to get the votes of the primary voters to beat Clinton and Edwards.

27. Is this
good news?

His overall approval dropped 9 points since May (when it was 54 percent). From the PDF

1. Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president?

Approve
July 18-20 45%
June 3-7 48%
May 24-26 54%

From the OP article:

<...>

Obama's approval rating among liberals has dropped to 71 percent, the lowest point in his presidency. And the number of Democrats who want the party to renominate Obama next year, now at 77 percent, is relatively robust by historical standards but is also down a bit since June.

<...>

Question 43
Do you think the Democratic party should renominate Barack Obama as the party's candidate for
president in 2012, or do you think the Democratic party should nominate a different candidate
for president in 2012?

Base = Democrats

Renominate Obama
Total 77%
Democrat 81%
Independent 69%
Liberal 84%
Moderate 76%

Those are great numbers.
