1.  the fire now at 1000 plus acres
they are evacuating Bandolier National Monument just below parts of Los Alamos lab. The smoke coming to Santa Fe from the fire is pretty intense. I hope they can get this one out, we've already have smoke in the evening from out own fire burned 10,000 acres in a week up in the mountain. Now we have fires one from the east and one from the west. These fires are difficult to put out due to the dryness and wind. Los Alamos on alert to be prepared to evacuate. I just hope if it gets out of control, they have somewhere to safe put all the diseases they have stored up there. As my husband said "I doubt it," Seeing how things really are with the Nuke plants and all it doesn't seem likely they have good contingency plans in place, but I can hope.

4. The fire outside Santa Fe has been visible on satellite
for the last couple of days. Fires out here this year have been huge.

Things are looking up, though. There were a few clouds this afternoon that weren't smoke, they were real clouds. They only have to start producing something besides gusty winds before the whole state burns down.
