"Senior Tory Christopher Shale found dead at Glastonbury festival" David Cameron pays tribute to 'a big rock in my life' after Shale is found in toilet on day his strategy documents were leaked
http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2011/jun/26/tory-christopher-shale-dead-glastonburyThe body of Shale, 56, a close political ally of David Cameron, was discovered on Sunday morning hours after he was quoted in a Conservative strategy document leaked to a Sunday newspaper, as saying the Tories had come across over the years as "graceless, voracious, crass, always on the take" and needed to radically change.
Rupert Soames, a businessman and friend of Shale who was at Glastonbury and has been helping co-ordinate arrangements following the sudden death of his friend said through a spokesman that medics had told him and Shale's family that they believe he died of a massive heart attack "around lunchtime" on Saturday.

Michael Eavis, the festival organiser had earlier told a press conference: "We're told it is a suicide situation. It is very, very sad."
This looks to be the article in the Daily Mirror referred to above:

There's absolutely no reason to join the Conservative Party – and that’s according to David Cameron’s own constituency chairman, Christopher Shale.
In a strategy document seen by The Mail on Sunday, Mr Shale admits that at present there’s ‘no reason to join. Lots of reasons not to’.
The paper, of which Cameron is aware, presents a scathing assessment of the social skills and fundraising efforts of his association.
This is all sounding very familiar.
