Mesa police have located the severed leg of the deceased victim involved in Sunday's fatal hit-and-run collision.

The leg was found on the roof of a building inside Uncle Bob's Storage, located at 545 W. Broadway Road in Mesa. Police say the building is about 160 feet from where the hit-and-run occurred, and investigators believe the impact from the collision may have projected the leg onto the roof.

Police located the suspected vehicle on Monday but returned to the scene of the collision when no evidence of the leg was found in the car.

Police said the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Jose Padilla-Rodriguez, admitted that he was the driver of the car.

1. I'm gonna burn in hell for this...
...was he wearing wing-tips?

I know. I truly apologize. Imagine the call telling you your loved one is dead, and...um...we can't find parts of them. Yeah, I'd friggin' lose it right there. Probably forever.

A lot of accidents happening in AZ. Several serious and fatal ones up in my area.

6. "may have projected the leg onto the roof."
May have?

I don't about you, but it would take some seriously sick individual to "fling" a leg on a roof.

That driver had to be moving at quite a clip.
