Republican Senator asks Twitterati: Yea or nay on gay marriage vote?
Source: MSNBC

Whether it's a publicity gimmick or a genuine effort to gauge public sentiment, New York state senator Greg Ball, who says he's not sure how to vote on legislation allowing gay marriage, is asking those on Twitter to tweet how he should cast his ballot.

"So, if you were me, how would you vote on gay marriage, yes or no?" tweeted the Republican from New York's 40th district. It's no idle question, as Ball is among some of his party's undecided legislators, with a vote that could come as soon as today.

1. oh dear, so it comes down to this?

perhaps asking if I should pick the blue or the red truck is twitter-worthy, but 'what do you think about civil rights for these people?'

maybe I'm missing something here
