7. Kopicis background
Kenneth Kopicis is Senior Counsel for the House Transportation and Infrastructure Meeting; I can't find any other info. or education records to make him particularly suitable for this position.

9. Both lawyers, but
these guys seem more bureaucratic than corporate.

Their resumes seem thin. However, Gruenberg's wiki notes he played a major role in the Gramm-Leach-Bailey Act, which repealed Glass Steagall, said repeal having paved the way for the crap mortgage derivatives that brought down the global economy in 2008.

I don't know know if or how much he can be faulted for that cataclysmic legislation (still in effect, btw), given he was counsel for legislators, not himself a legislator. His job was to work on what legislators wanted. However, if he failed to foresee the potential for disaster and warn them of it, that is his responsiblity.

He also had a lot to do with the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act of 1991 and the Sarbanes–Oxley Act of 2002. I cannot claim familiarity with these, but, based on their wikis, they seem okay and Sarbanes Oxley (Gruenberg worked for Sarbanes) seems much better than okay.
