Sharon seeks Bush backing on plan
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is expected to meet US President George Bush in Washington on Wednesday to seek approval for his "disengagement" plan.

The plan envisages a withdrawal from the Gaza Strip but a consolidation of Jewish settlements in the West Bank.

Correspondents say the president is not likely to oppose Mr Sharon's idea - but will in turn seek a loose commitment to the US-crafted "roadmap" for peace.

Palestinian leaders have already condemned Mr Sharon's unilateral moves.

Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei said there was "genuine concern" over reports that the US was considering Mr Sharon's request.

2. Two of the worlds most evil men will be together soon.
The world would be a much safer place with both of them out of power just like Saddam.

3. If "Danger" is a function both of real political, financial and military
power plus individual, evil character -- then both of these two have Saddam Hussein looking like Minnie Mouse.

6. He's done a lot for terrorism.
He turned a blind eye to the terrorists planning 9/11 & let them win a stunning victory. He attacked Afghanistan but didn't make it less of a terrorist haven. His illegal invasion of Iraq & continuing military presence there has recruited many a new terrorist.

This alliance with Sharon is quite consistent with his desire to "do something about terrorism". Unfortunately, he translates "do something" as "encourage".
