1. It's a wise choice. If there are people who can't accept a birth certificate as proof
they're not going to accept the pictures, either.

As far as bin Laden's followers' opinions, let them remain wondering if it's the real deal. Better that than inflaming them with explicit pictures & creating a bigger-than-life martyr complex.

2. I agree with the decision
I think there's one thing that can be done, and that's to allow a few "respected" journalists to privately view the photos, eyes only, and report their findings. Also, Congress Members of the Intelligent Committees are given the opportunity to do the same in very tightly controlled conditions.

3. Well, if you're wanted "dead or alive", and the Seals have gotten past your bodyguards
...it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out you're not going to have a very long time to decide whether to surrender or not.

I'm guessing too it wasn't a very leisurely affair, as they had come in without notifying the Pakistani's, and at some point were warned that Pakistan was scrambling jets. It makes one wonder, as I'm sure the white house was concerned, that once they were in someone in the compound might have called a military contact. All manner of confused hell could have broken loose if it wasn't a fast in and out job.

In retrospect there were so many ways for the whole thing to go wrong, there is some serious credit to go around that it went so well.
