Former Sen. Hart predicts another attack, despite bin Laden's death

DENVER -- Former Colorado US Senator Gary Hart famously warned that Osama bin Laden might be planning a major attack on US soil -- a statement he made several months before 9/11.

The former Colorado Senator says the terrorist's goal is to destroy the US economy, and he believes the next attacks will come in the heartland, to cities like Denver, with something like a biological weapon.

And although it was directed at, almost exclusively, Democratic politicians and media figures, we still have not found out who undertook the attacks or brought anyone to justice. And wouldn't it be prudent to have a better system to control and track our military bio-weapons?

heels of 9/11, were an inside job that, all too conveniently, were quickly forgotten. Struck me at the time as an operation to silence Dems and "liberal" members of the media. When innocent people started dying, it quickly came to a halt. It will never be properly investigated because an investigation would probably lead to Cheney/Rumsfeld and other Bush criminals the Obama administration has already decided not to go after. Like mortgages bundled into collateralized debt obligations -- those can sure bring an economy to its knees. Or maybe it will be an oil price shock where the populace is 100% dependent on private cars for transportation -- that can sure grind an economy to a halt. Or maybe it will be lack of health care that will kill 45,000 people a year -- that could sure terrify a lot of families with sick family members AND push a lot of families into the poorhouse. Yes, despite bin Laden's death, there still are terrorists trying to destroy the US economy.
