China ban on smoking in public places comes into force
Source: BBC

A ban on smoking in public places has come into force in China - home to a third of the world's smokers.

The move is aimed at curbing the number of deaths from smoking-related diseases, running at a million a year.

But the new rules have been criticized because they do not include punishments for those who choose to ignore them.

Business owners often resent efforts to force them to ban smoking on their premises, because many customers do not like the rules and complain.

3. If I was a tobacco executive
I would be supporting marijuana legalization. The worldwide market for tobacco will not grow longterm
And no I dont want corporate bud. But I think it's inevitable longterm. That's why I want all future legalization measures to grandfather existing medicinal growers with lower tax rates

6. Are you kidding?
If I was the CEO of Home Depot I'd be supporting marijuana legalization. Sales of bedding plants, special marijuana dirt, grow lights, pot dryers...not to mention other necessities like sunglasses and twinkies.
