Kerry gets served up with 'waffles'
By Mark Memmott, USA TODAY

Some jokers who don't like the Democratic presidential candidate are trying to make his campaign Web site, johnkerry.com, the first answer to a search of the word "waffles" on Google, the No. 1 Internet search engine.

2. Time to Google-bomb back...
There hasn't been a Presidential candidate in history that has waffled more than Shrub (between campaign promises and actual actions once in power).

7. Well, as always, the Repugs think that money talks
Just did a google of "waffle", and did not see anything about Kerry. However, I did see this:

I.e., the only way they can get to the top of Google is to buy their way. THEY ONLY HAVE DOLLARS, NOT SUPPORT IN NUMBERS. It is our strength and their weakness.

14. Bush should also be #1 Traitor.
Bush, the unelected smirking moron, knew his old petro-dollar rich business pal bin Laden was up to no good -- and he stood by and watched 3,000 people die.

10. Karma is a b*tch, Kerry!
I find this amusing because Kerry supporters served waffles at Dean events. Kerry is the Great Waffler!

12. Neither of them is...
While the Kerry campaign (and a lot of Kerry supporters in the D.U.) did occasionally go over the line in the primary against Dean, I don't see the charge of "waffling" to be particularly compelling against either man. Indeed, the main difference seems to be the initial willingness of the two men to take Bush at his word. Kerry did. Dean didn't.

It turned out that Dean was right, but the bipartisan instinct of Kerry is probably better for the country. Giving people the benefit of the doubt is a generally better long term way of public support for your policies. It's perceived as more grown up.

(Still, if you want to tag Kerry with something - SUCKER is far more descriptive of the man's problem.)

- C.D.

p.s. Kerry is the Democratic nominee. Neither of us should be criticizing him much.

19. I'm not a sheep following the Kerry-herd
p.s. Kerry is the Democratic nominee. Neither of us should be criticizing him much.

And I'll criticize him as much as I want. This is America and denying Democrats the use of our First Amendment rights is downright unAmerican.

24. I resent the use of the term "herd" for Kerry supporters.
You can criticize Kerry as much as you want but please don't derogate those of us who want to see Kerry in the Whitehouse.

Since the floors of the WTC towers were said to "pancake" down on one another as the towers collapsed.
