Bush ducks questions on false Iraq intelligence
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20030709/pl_afp/us_africa_bush_iraq

PRETORIA (AFP) - US President George W. Bush (news - web sites) ducked questions over a White House admission that he used flawed intelligence on Iraq (news - web sites)'s nuclear program, while insisting he was right to oust Saddam Hussein (news - web sites).

Bush, in South Africa on the second leg of his African tour, faced reporters for the first time since the White House admitted early Tuesday that he had overstated Iraq's alleged efforts to procure uranium.

But he deflected a question on whether he regretted highlighting the allegation in his State of the Union address in January.

"There is no doubt in my mind that Saddam Hussein was a threat to the world peace and there is no doubt in my mind the United States along with our allies and friends did the right thing in removing him from power," Bush said.

1. More like faced reporters for the
first time ever!

Didn't like it, did he?

Go African press!

(And if any of you domestic lapdogs get a sniff, give a growl, would you?)

2. There is no doubt
...in my mind that George W. Bush is a threat to world peace and there is no doubt in my mind that he should be removed from power.

Once again, you can almost always take what they say about someone else and apply it to them and be 100% correct. All they ever do is project their motives and criminality onto everyone else.

I'm so tired of their one note song.

4. Interesting sidenote
I, too, have noticed that what people say in criticizing others more often than not applies the person doing the criticism. It's really quite common.

6. True, but the Right Wing does it purposefully and strategically
The Right Wing takes credit for others' good ideas, intentions, and actions, all the while laying all their own wickedness on those same others (and acting very righteous in the process).

It seems to be a combination of the "big lie" strategy and incredible hypocrisy. I think the Rush Limbaugh (aka, Jeff Christy) radio show is a perfect example.

8. Clinton was hounded relentlessly
wherever he went in the world, no matter who he was with, by reporters asking rude and irrelevant questions about Monica. They've got to stick it to this idiot as well.

10. Looks like the little Christian boy
ain't so perfect and honest after all. He knew damn well the info was not confirmed. There is no doubt though that Iraq had a nuclear program. We are finding parts of it in scientsts' backyards.

11. I just love this part.....
.......Opposition Democrats in the United States have gone on the offensive against Bush over the admission that he used flawed intelligence, while top Republican lawmakers accused them of exploiting a relatively minor issue.

A "relatively minor issue"!!!?????

Going to war on a truck-load of absolute lies is a "relatively minor issue"?
As opposed to what?
A more serious issue.....like a President having consensual sex with another adult?

These Republicans are truly nuts!

12. I always want to scream
WHAT ALLIES AND FRIENDS? YOU'VE ALIENATED THEM ALL!

Even some of those to whom he promised his blood money for supporting his war are now on his "sh!t list" because they did not pander to his desires regarding the world court.

George Bush's only friends are those that are willing to kiss his @ss 24/7.

15. Questions that won't be asked
1. How did WH obtain the documents?

2. Where/from whom did the documents originate? Who forged them and more importantly WHY?

3. Why wasn't our "experts" able to spot them as a forgery when it took the UN experts less than an hour to determine that they were forgeries?

4. Why did the WH wait till July to admit they were forgeries when (by their own admission) they knew of the forgery in February?

5. What was the "vetting" process for determining validity of documents/intelligence reports?
