FOREX-U.S. dollar rallies from near-record lows vs yen after quake

TOKYO, March 14 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar rebounded from near record lows against the yen on Monday, boosted by hedge fund buying after the Bank of Japan's injected 7 trillion yen into the money market to help ease nervousness following Friday's massive earthquake and tsunami hit the country.

1. Ahhh - the dollar and yen. I guess we know what those hedge fund people care about
I've been too busy watching news about all that horrible destruction in Japan and figuring out where to send a donation, to worry much about money markets. Damn I feel sorry for those poor bastards who care about nothing but the almighty dollar (or yen).

2. To be honest it should concern you as much because
in the big picture it could (imo atleast) have an adverse effect on their ability to rebuild and provide aid to the people effected by the quake including aid from other nations if the markets were to experience a massive crash right now.
