Protests in Italy -- 'after Mubarak, Berlusconi'
Source: DPA

Rome, Feb 13 (DPA) A group of Italian protesters, who call themselves the Purple People, organized a weekend of demonstrations in several cities against Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, demanding his resignation over allegations of sex with underage prostitutes.

'After Mubarak, Silvio Berlusconi,' hundreds of protesters chanted in Rome Saturday, creating quite a stir as they banged cooking pots and spoons. 'Unworthy Berlusconi, this is not my head of government,' one banner said.

The Purple People have several times in the past organised, over the internet, a 'No-B(erlusconi) Day' in Rome. The rallies were attended by artists, journalists, trade unionists and other citizens.

Italians will take to the streets again Sunday, in protests largely organized by women's groups who say the premier has hurt their dignity. They also object to the indecent representation of women in newspapers, advertising and on television.

2. Berlusconi appears to me to be Italy's Bush
Portraying himself as a sort of rude and crude common man, with conservative values. Time for a change. Besides, he bought his way into the Presidency by owning a large media company, sort of like Rupert Murdoch running for whatever country he currently has citizenship in...the U.S.?

3. Next up...
I say we take down the CorpoRats in DC. You know...80% of the slimy fucks that run our government.

If our sick little friends in DC dont think this shit could get unleashed over here I think they could be very surprised.

I want to see a million Americans demanding an end to Wall Street payoffs, GE not paying taxes, energy companies keeping us enslaved and insurance companies stealing everything they can while our politicians do everything they can to help 'em out.

Lets go folks.
