Large Plant Fire in Mont Belvieu
Source: Fox News Houston

A fire has been reported at a petrochemical plant in Mont Belvieu, about 35 miles east of Houston.

The fire was reported at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Enterprise Products facility. According to its website, Enterprise Products is a petrochemical company.

SkyFox is over the scene.

Witnesses say the heat is intense and trucks in a nearby parking lot exploded as a result. Other callers to FOX 26 News report having heard explosions.

Mont Belvieu and Chambers County emergency personnel have responded to an explosion and large fire at Enterprise Products oil and gas facility near Mont Belvieu, a small city 35 miles east of Houston.

No further details were available from local law enforcement agencies.

Houston-based Enterprise is one of the country's largest shippers and processors of natural gas in, including 49,100 miles of onshore and offshore pipelines.

petrochemical processing area, like Pasadena, Texas. Every since the Texas City disaster, we are very careful about our refinaries. Old timers still talk about that oneIt is a deal with the devil if you ask me.
