Schwarzenegger to Reveal Plan on Gov. Run (on "Tonight Show")
The Associated Press

NBC Says Schwarzenegger Will Announce Calif. Governor Intentions on 'Tonight Show' on Wednesday

Californians may have to stay up late watching TV on Wednesday night to discover if Arnold Schwarzenegger intends to convert his Hollywood glamour into a political run to replace Gov. Gray Davis.

NBC and representatives of the actor said Thursday that Schwarzenegger plans to make his decision public Wednesday on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno." That would come three days before the Aug. 9 deadline for candidates to declare plans to run. ---

2. This kind of pisses me off
but I suppose it fits into the whole circus atmosphere of the Recall. I thought he wasn't going to run becasue his wife was opposed to it and it would mean too much pressure on their four kids.

So what's he gonna do? Tell us he's not running? Why bother? Maybe he's planning to run and will announce it at the last minute just to get into the limelight even more.

3. "Hollywood glamour"?!? Oh, Puhleeeeeeeeze!
This 'Tonight Show' stunt of his is disgusting and offensive to serious California voters...and, *if* he decides to run...it will backfire on him! Obviously, he's just another repuke "governor wannabe" who wouldn't stand up to the legitimately elected Governor Gray Davis!

5. a little cross-promotion, eh? Typical...
didn't I hear recently that actors need to shut-up about politics? Did I imagine that?

Announcing your intentions on a tv talk show is bad enough, but to announce your announcement?? Too much sho-biz for me!

would be funny if he said he's gonna run, and the audience hisses at him...

is this the REASON he's going on the Tonight Show? Or is he slipping this in during his T3 interview?

aw heck, let him run and take votes away from the Issa-hole, lol

Arnold Schwarzenegger - RETURN! Weeks on chart: 3 - The yawn-fest that is Arnold Schwarzenegger's on-again-off-again love affair with the idea of running for Governor of California is... off again. Last week the hunky Austrian pervert announced that due to the importance of receiving a multi-million dollar payoff for making "Terminator 3" he would sadly not be available to serve the Californian public this time around. Coincidentally, the announcement came just one day after Arnold learned that the National Enquirer would be publishing front-page allegations of his extramarital affair with a mysterious 41-year-old brunette. A Schwarzenegger spokesperson promptly came out with the tediously predictable announcement that - surprise! - the allegations had nothing to do with his decision not to run for office. Especially the allegation that the mystery woman first had sex with Arnold when she was 16 (in the interests of full disclosure - he would have been 28).
