Dallas Building Evacuated: One Main Place Gets Suspicious Package
Source: The Huffington Post

Just one day after a suspicious package was investigated at Sen. John Cornyn's suburban Dallas office, a downtown Dallas building has been evacuated due to a suspicious package.

NBC's local affiliate in Dallas-Fort Worth reports that the building in question is One Main Place, a 33-floor skyscraper.

The evacuation took place after a bomb-sniffing dog smelled something suspicious in a FedEx package. Dallas police are reportedly heading to the scene.

This is a developing story..

1. " it just contained paper files"

UPDATE (12:20 p.m. ET): Dallas Fire Rescue has given the all clear, per the Dallas Observer. Apparently two sniffing dogs hit the box but it just contained paper files. DFR spokesman Joel Lavender says, "I know it's not the most glamorous thing to find, but in a situation like this, we're just glad it's safe after all."

The lieutenant also noted that the building may want to look into the company that provided and trained the dogs.

6. Given that the Super Bowl is here in a few weeks
Local officials are not going to take ANY chances with anything out of the ordinary.

They even had EPA planes flying around Arlington taking "baseline" samples of the air around the SB venue so they can "compare" them to SB day.

Some stupid news person was asking a local official about what ALL security measures would be taken that weekend. The official answered "**obviously** we are NOT going to publicize all the security measures, some you will see but most you will NOT since there is always the chance of bad people coming to town just to cause problems".
