Lew confirmed as budget director
Source: Associated Press

The Senate has confirmed Jacob Lew as director of the Office of Management and Budget after a Louisiana senator lifted a hold on his nomination.

Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu had held up Lew's confirmation to protest the administration's six-month moratorium on deepwater oil and gas drilling in the Gulf. She said Thursday that "notable progress has been made" in her talks with the Interior Department and noted some permits have been issued in recent weeks.

I read that link I posted for ya up above a couple of hours ago and then I saw your OP and I thought "wow that was damn fast!" LOL :)

p.s. Looks like the Lew vote will be the last vote until after Thanksgiving break.
Must be one reason they hurried up today.

From the Senate Calendar:
There will be no further roll call votes tonight. The next vote is expected to occur on Monday, November 29.
