Cheney recommits to pre-emptive strikes
Washington-AP

Vice President Dick Cheney is reiterating the Bush administration's commitment to pre-emptive strikes against groups or "outlaw states" perceived to be a threat to America.

He says, "We will not wait in false comfort" for another terror attack. President Bush used that philosophy to build the case for war against Iraq. Critics have raised questions about whether the threat from Iraq was as imminent as Bush said.Cheney spoke to the American Legislative Exchange Council ---

10. Where the fascists will find their poll numbers
Iran has been making the Likudniks unhappy lately. We can't let a non-puppet Muslim country have real weapons, now can we?

Cuba is another possibility if the fascist movement requires a quick and easy victory.

North Korea is out until just after the 2004 elections at the earliest.

28. Small enough to walk over
Cuba is practically small enough to walk over. It would be much, much easier for the fascists to take over Cuba (again...) than to digest either Iran or North Korea, both of which have more land area and are much more heavily armed.

Force a line across the island at midpoint and an invasion of Cuba would be all over bar the shouting.

7. And Wolfowitz supports relying on "murky" intelligence
These people should be committed to a mental institution, strapped to a bed, and pumped full of Thorazine to make sure they can't harm themselves or others.

9. something very Un-American about this cabal
led by Sneering Dick.

The patriots in and around the CIA know Sneering Dick is the ring-leader of the neo-cons.....thus the leaks and calls for resignation. Obviously the neo-con fascists are gearing up for more unjust wars.

12. CIA unhappy
Remember when the wistle got blown on the administration's attempt to provide fabricated intelligence to congress regarding the thereat posed by Syria?

The spooks want to make sure that they don't wind up on the hook for another of PNAC's imperialist dreams.

Was what I thought when I first read this.

You see I misread "Cheney is reiterating" to "Cheney is retireing...commitment to pre-emptive strikes".

17. I recommit...
to getting this gang of thugs OUT in 2004. If you want a little perspective, I'm 60 years old, and have never been more frightened or disgusted by any administration as this one.

This is the lowest the U.S. has sunk, in my opinion. People seem to be more willing to hate, to villify, to flat out shred to pieces anybody not in lockstep with the far RW nutzoids. Enough! Let's take our country back, before it's too late.

23. So glad to know...
that some of you others who have been around for awhile agree with me. I'd prefer to spend my time with my grandkids, and doing a little gardening, instead, I'm glued to the computer moniter, trying to keep up with the latest abuses of power.

My grandchildren are precious to me, and I will continue to try to fight for their sakes to keep our country from slipping further into this facist nightmare.

20. With Dick Cheney, I always thought it was the money and the power.
With a dash of "mad scientist" thrown in. Now, I truly believe this guy is *totally* off his rocker!

And, the trouble is, he and his fellow neo cons want to drag us all into hell with 'em!

:scared:

27. As the old-time DUers know, Cheney lived 800 yards from me in Dallas.
I trained my dog to poop in his yard (no shit!). After the 12/2000 selection the SS swarmed like termites and hated me and my dog. But I was on the public sidewalk and my dog was dead-set on shitting in that ivy-covered verge. Of course, I would wear an ACLU hat, or something along that line.

The witch, Lynn Cheney, stills shows up from time to time at my neighbor's, REBECCA COLLINS, who sells jewelry illegally from her home. The SS block off the street, and here comes Lynn. It is disgusting. Rebecca Collins does millions of dollars of business from her home with a full staff of people there. I have busted her several times. City of Dallas looks the other way, natch. I'd be in the slammer. Fucking repukes!
