RCMP's B.C. Legislature raid drug related

Vancouver — An RCMP drug investigation targeted two groups moving massive quantities of cocaine and marijuana but none of the suspects is an elected official nor was trafficking taking place at the B.C. legislature, a summary of search warrant information reveals.

A B.C. Supreme Court judge approved the release of the bare-bones summary — about two pages long — on Thursday after applications from news outlets more than three months ago.

A lawyer for one news organization said the summary was so skimpy it could have been compiled from published news reports.
